One of Halla Group's subsidiaries, Mando, announced plans for growth in the fields of electric vehicles and autonomous driving by 2025. Accordingly, Mando will grow with a focus on electric vehicle solutions, while MMS (Mando Mobility Solutions), the new company to split off from Mando, will concentrate on autonomous driving technologies. Mando, the parent company, will control the new company to be founded, namely, MMS.
MMS will be a specialized autonomous driving solutions provider in the fields of autonomous vehicle parts, autonomous robots, and mobility services. After this split-off, Mando aims to strengthen its position in the global market by leveraging its experience with global electric vehicle companies. Within this framework, Mando's core business will be electrified chassis products such as brake, steering, and suspension. The company will also focus on specialized products, including e-Drive (engine) for EVs , e-Corner Module (integrated module of electrified chassis), and hydrogen car battery charging converter.
Cho Seong-Hyeon, Mando's board chairman, stated that it is inevitable for Mando to get specialized in core businesses for effectively responding to the rapidly changing demands in the automotive market.
