"Safe cars " are often referred to as cars that ensure the safety of passengers inside the vehicle. But, for us, as Mando, the safety of pedestrians on the road is as important as the safety of those inside the car. This is why we have developed the AEB (Autonomous Emergency Braking) technology.
The AEB system consists of a camera, radar, sensor, and controls. This system allows the vehicle to automatically brake, in case a pedestrian is on its way ahead, during a normal drive. This way, the safety of pedestrians is no longer dependent on the drivers' reflexes.
In the AEB system, the radar, camera, and sensors located on the front side of the vehicle constantly scan the road. The system is activated when there is an obstacle ahead of the car and the driver fails to timely react to it. Through controls, the engine power is cut off, and brakes are activated. This way, accidents taking place due to a sudden appearance of a pedestrian on the road or the driver's failure to notice the stopping car ahead are prevented.
As Mando, we care about the safety of everyone in traffic, not just passengers. Therefore, in the safety technologies we develop, we do not just focus on those inside the vehicle but take steps for a traffic environment where everyone is safe.
