RWS, which stands for Rear Wheel Stering System, is a technology created by Mando that moves the rear wheels as the name suggests.
Existing rear wheels only played a role of being pulled (front-wheel drive) or pushing the vehicle (rear-wheel drive). Vehicles with RWS actively control the steering angle of the rear wheels.
So how does RWS work? At low speed, it steers the opposite direction to the front wheel to reduce the turning Radius, and at high speed, it steers in the same direction to reduce body slippage.
When RWS is applied to a vehicle, U-turns, parking, and lane changes become easier, and it can turn reliably even in emergency situations. The driver is comfortable, the vehicle is safe. That is RWS is applied to luxury sedans abroad.
RWS is a technology that not only makes Premium vehicles shine, but also closes the distance from the era of autonomous driving. This is because it is a state-of-the-art technology that controls the vehicle by checking the real time driving situation.
Mando’s RWS detects vehicle movement in real time based on advanced software. It realizes optimal turning performance by integrating the body posture control system (ESC) and RWS.

In addition to the automotive industry, the Halla Group carries out activities in many other areas. These include, for example, shipbuilding, education and sports.
One of the largest brands in the automotive supply industry is Mando Aftermarket, which is part of the South Korean Halla Corporation Europe.
This event was organized by one of the largest purchasing groups in the world called Nexus, with which we cooperate.
